Through this workshop we will deal with bounce, its alternations and mechanisms, starting from footwork that can be found in hip hop, break dance and house dance. We will investigate their development in space as well as their interpretation in relation to rhythm.
Progressively we will try to discover our own interpretations of bounce, and proceed to the production of new kinetic materials.
In addition, we will practice acrobatic techniques and various handstand mechanisms in order to integrate them into our personal movement.
-Bounce mechanisms/move to space/rhythm
-Use of footwork for creating kinetic material
-Acrobatic mechanisms and handstands
-The workshop is addressed to professional dancers, dance students as well as people with no previous dance experience.
-The use of clean comfortable sneakers is recommended.
