Our body is our home! If it is welcoming, “open”, organized and clean, it can make meaningful contact with the inner world, but also be generous and courageous with the world around it.

The educational program “My body “speaks””, was implemented for the second year by DDC through experiential workshops from November 2023 to June 2024, co-organized by the Primary Education Department of the Municipality of Chania and the Municipality of Chania. The programme involved 25 teachers from 15 school units of the city and the region and about 500 children. Teachers and children through words and emotion games, as well as movement excercises, think, feel and capture their own images, individually or in groups, in ways they chose.

Through physicality, stereotypical norms are naturally and spontaneously broken down, offensive behaviours are prevented, and concepts such as love, acceptance, empathy, trust and inclusion are promoted.

In the framework of our 14th edition, we are hosting part of the processes that took place in the classrooms during the past year.
