The Night Walk poleidoskop is dedicated to hyperintensive sensory perception, as experienced by Autistic and ADHD individuals. Three dancers lead the audience through the night. They wear light sources on their bodies. Using repetitive movement principles such as bouncing/rocking/shaking/rotating, the lights and the illuminated surroundings are set in motion. This results in emerging (dis)orders, a constantly changing spatial setting of illuminated objects, moving light patterns, overlays, shadows. The repetitive movement principles generate an activation of the dancers body in the form of so-called „stimming“, a form of self-stimulation that many neurodivergent people, especially Autistics, often unconsciously apply to regulate the nervous system. The result is a resonance space where the audience can participate kinesthetically. Spectators wear headphones that dampen the ambient noise – but also multiply and amplify it, manipulated in real time.

An intense sensory journey, poleidoskop invites the visitors to experience aspects of neurodivergent perceptions from the inside.
