The team of the International Contemporary Dance Festival, Dance Days Chania, announces the submission of proposals for participation with a performance and/or workshop for its 16th edition.
Through its sections, the festival aims to highlight different choreographic and creative approaches of the contemporary dance scene, to provide space to creators, to support research practices, artistic exchanges and the active participation of the community.

Key information about the terms and conditions of the festival
– The entire festival organizing team (except for external collaborators) works on a voluntary basis to plan and realize the festival.
– The minimum duration of the proposed performance is 20 minutes. The video of each performance proposal submitted must show the total duration of the performance, otherwise the application will be considered invalid.
– Applications that do not include the required additional information (video, technical specifications, CV, etc.) will be considered incomplete and therefore invalid.
– Artists/groups participating with a performance receive the proceeds from ticket sales. To ensure the artists’ honorarium, the organization sets a minimum artistic fee per participation.
– For artists/groups participating with a workshop, the artistic fee is determined by agreement.
– The festival covers travel expenses up to €350/participant from countries outside Greece.
– The festival covers travel expenses up to €200/participant for tickets within Greece.
– The festival provides accommodation for the artists during the days of their participation.
– The festival offers discount coupons at partner restaurants and cafés in the city for the artists/groups.
– The Festival provides complete technical support to participating groups and individual creators.
– Participating artists/groups operate as independent contractors and not as employees of the Festival. The ability to issue an invoice is a prerequisite.
– A prerequisite for the valid submission of a proposal is the completion of the participation form posted on https://dancedays.gr.
– Those selected will be notified by e-mail within forty (40) days of the deadline for applications.
