International Communication For Contemporary Dance
Tools and Skills to connect your artistic skills to the international dance scene
During the 2019 edition of the Chania Dance Days / Crete, Katherina will be launching 8 individual consulting sessions of 1 hour each, during which we will set up a practical to do list for each choreographer of how to engage in their international communications, based on their artistic materials and goals.
In case of more than 8 applicants, we will offer meetings in groups of 6.
The consulting sessions are suitable for emerging choreographers as well as established ones, who wish you change, further develop / expand their international communications and activities.
Part of these conversations will be also the financial aspects of international professional engagements.
The participants will be required to send their materials by email in advance together with a short explanation of what their professional international goals are.
Katherina Vasiliadis, born in Germany, is living and working in Israel for the last 12 years.
She has vast experience in the field of cultural management and the international relations for independent choreographers as well as organizations.
Between 2010 – 2017 she was working for MASH, a production house for contemporary dance in Jerusalem, where she was part of establishing and developing the international dance week, an annual exposure event which attracts today numerous dance curators from all around the world. Next to that she was and still is, initiating international collaborations, residencies, educational as well as communal projects etc.
Katherina is currently directing the international communications of Gil Kerer, Rachel Erdos, Nimrod Freed, RenanaRaz, IdoGidron and Castle in Time Orchestra.
In addition, she is representing Dock11 / EDEN in Berlin, Germany at international platform’s and travels to launch lectures / workshops about the topic in various places.
