After the success of last year’s workshop led by Peeping Tom directors Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier, we decided to continue in the same vein, by inviting Samuel Lefeuvre (former collaborator of the company for the shows Le Salon, Le Sous Sol and A Louer) and Florencia Demestri to share their view on how our imagination can transform our bodies and movements.
Dance Days Chania Summer Workshop
Florencia Demestri and Samuel Lefeuvre propose to playfully explore choreographic tools based on imagination and fantasy. How does an image or a sensation influence our dancing ? Which technical tools can help us to transform ourselves into the projected image ? They’ll tackle the notion of physical states, dear to their creation process.
F. Demestri & S.Lefeuvre – Workshop
With the participants, they’ll explore some states used in the choreographic work of the company, and then look for others, more personal, so that each of us can use his/her imagination to develop an original and creative way of dancing. Samuel previously also worked with Belgian dance-theatre company Peeping Tom, with whom he created Le Salon and Le Sous Sol.
