Providing an insight into BODHI PROJECT’s repertoire of different choreographic and artistic processes, we support the training of versatile performers through the development of dance and theatrical skills.
The workshop is based on physical skills and repertoire, and allows participants to have the opportunity to experience BODHI PROJECT’s repertoire first hand by working directly with the company members.
Repertoire Masterclass consists of a contemporary technique class and and Repertory excerpts from the new stage work ‘Chemical Joy’ for BODHI PROJECT dance company choreographed by Lenio Kaklea. The choreographic material combines simple pedestrian activities, with pop music, and folklore dances. The work will mainly focus on duets.
Founded in 2008, internationally touring company BODHI PROJECT is part of the blackmountain non-profit organization, an association to promote contemporary dance and performance in Austria and abroad. Guided by the artistic visionary Susan Quinn, BODHI PROJECT’s repertory is stylistically diversified and on tour throughout Europe as well as internationally. It showcases the artistic and technical excellence of the dancers’ complex movement repertory, demanding theatrical elements and a strong stage presence. Since 2008, more than 40 internationally renowned choreographers have been commissioned to create new work for BODHI PROJECT. The commitment to support and promote artists that are established or newcomers in the field of contemporary dance, is a mission that the blackmountain organisation takes to heart.
