Alexandros M. Kyriazis is an actor, dancer, and choreographer active in the fields of theater, film, and contemporary performance art. He is a graduate of the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD), specializing in performance and choreography, while his training at the Juste Debout School in Paris helped shape his movement and performance identity. Since completing his studies in 2024, he has collaborated with directors, choreographers, and artistic organizations in Cyprus, Greece, and Europe. As a performer, he has participated in productions such as Erendira, Eastern Mediterranean, Romeo and Juliet, Mandarins, The Corridor, Hannibal, and ARGONAUTEN, while as a choreographer and movement director he has created works such as The Shepherdess’s Lover, The Wizard of Oz, and Matzielemenes. For his choreography in the productions Kafka’s Doll and The Little Prince, he was nominated for the THOK 2025 Theater Awards. Additionally, he is developing his own artistic practice by creating original works such as The One That Runs, How to Dwell on Everything 101, Funky & Clunky, Jimmy & Freddie, and Bits & Pieces, which have been presented at international festivals and platforms, exploring the intersection of theater and dance through a physical and multidimensional stage language.

The Chicken & The Duck is a contemporary dance duet exploring the internal conflict between identity and aspiration — what one is versus what one longs to become. Two performers embody different aspects of a single inner self. The audience initially perceives them as two separate characters. Only gradually does it become clear: they are not interacting with each other, but within the same psyche. The Chicken & The Duck is a piece about the internal struggle of a person that desperately tries to find their place in this world. Somebody that is looking for a place to belong, an identity. The work unfolds as a mute, physical dialogue. Through rhythm, repetition, and a series of increasingly desperate attempts to synchronize, the performers navigate a relationship that is at once comedic, awkward, and deeply human. Balancing humor with vulnerability, The Chicken & The Duck invites audiences to recognize the absurdity and poignancy of internal struggle—suggesting that identity may not be something to resolve, but something to continuously negotiate.
