The international contemporary dance festival “Dance Days Chania”, continues empowered and awakened investing in human more than ever, in a peculiar time period for life and arts.
Notions like physicality, proximity, loneliness, exclusion and many more, are getting re-approached, tested, placed or suggested into the creative process, not as facts anymore, but as “materials”, values and principles for exploration and defense. In this old-new world, when crisis turns into an opportunity for vigilance, individuality and collaboration, Dance Days Chania insists in offering space to creativity, expression and communication. Aiming at the presentation of the different approaches of the contemporary Greek and international dance scene and the shaping of an artistic program in need for extroversion and expertise, the 11th Dance Days Chania festival marks its beginning with the Open Call for submissions with a performance and/or a workshop proposal.
