The educational program “My Body Speaks” is implemented for the third consecutive year by DDC, through experiential workshops offered free of charge to teachers and children from October to June each year. It is co-organized with the Department of Primary Education of the Municipality of Chania and the Municipality of Chania.

To date, more than 70 educators from the city and the region and at least 1000 children have benefited from the program. It aims to develop emotional and physical perception, prevent offending behaviour and familiarise children and the educational community of the city with physicality and the art of dance.

Creations from the children’s meetings and projects are presented during the festival in an exhibition in the foyer of the “Mikis Theodorakis” Theatre. In addition, there will be a performance by members of the team of teachers who participated, during the opening of the exhibition.
